Request to set up a Payment Plan

As a short-term solution to a blip in your financial income you can write to your card provider and request that they take nominal payments for a duration. You will need to provide a list of all your income and expenditure, along with a list of your other creditors (we strongly suggest you keep a copy). Most credit card companies appreciate and allow for some of their cardholders to experience some difficulty so there is no shame in declaring that you have an issue, you are simply giving yourself breathing room to get your finances in order. During the repayment plan term they are highly unlikely to charge any interest, however they could sell on your debt to a collection agency, if they do this the agency will be in touch with you directly.

You may need to repeat the information previously supplied to the card company regarding finances and creditors.
